Finance Systems Analyst Job Family Group : Professional Staff Job Description Summary : This Financial Analyst uses a blend of functional and technical skills to support the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of strategic financial and budget initiatives, processes, and reporting. The analyst is responsible for managing budget queries, reports, processes, and ensuring data integrity. Job Duties : Lead design and enhancements of the budget system to support KUMC leadership, focusing on effective and efficient reporting. Identify and advise on projects for budget, forecast, and long-term strategy improvements. Represent the Budget Department in testing and implementing new system releases. Communicate updates regarding new releases or enhancements to campus users. Assist in training the budget team and campus users; document processes and procedures. Seek opportunities to improve processes, automate manual tasks, and leverage technology for efficiencies. Support the design and testing of budget reports for the Central Budget Office and departments. Troubleshoot system issues, collaborating with the Workday Service Center as needed. Establish internal and external Adaptive budget system users' groups. Perform data reconciliations between financial reporting and budget systems to ensure accuracy. Stay updated on new Workday and Adaptive releases via official channels. Maintain system versions, user access, and roles. Execute monthly and quarterly close processes within the budget system. Qualifications : Education : Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, IT, or a related field with relevant experience. Work Experience : At least three years of related experience. Knowledge of planning and budgeting systems and databases. Experience with operating systems and systems analysis. Preferred Qualifications : Experience implementing ERP systems. Knowledge of Workday and Adaptive financial systems. Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows. Project management skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to collaborate across teams. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, capable of remote work. Business requirements analysis, testing, training, and documentation skills.
