Job purpose
The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is the finance business partner to function heads across the US organization and responsible for leading the US budgeting/forecasting and variance analysis affecting the company’s profitability and success. This role will also own the long-range 5-year planning activities to support the strategic direction of the business and lead financial reporting mechanisms for the business. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer - US, this position will support the company's remote employees around the USA. The role will manage a small team (initially 1 direct report, with the potential for another report in the long term).
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a small, hands-on start-up environment and will have a proven track record of success. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to work in the office (located at 197 First Avenue, Needham, MA) on a hybrid schedule of three days per week minimum.
Main Responsibilities, Activities, Duties and Tasks
Reporting
Support the implementation of SAP4HANA
Lead the integration of Oncology and Cardiology activities into the Molecular Imaging Platform with seamless reporting
Lead Sales to gross margin reporting move from the UK to the US legal entity
Own the financial reporting for the Blue Earth US entity, including management, presentations
Provide insightful budget to actual analysis on a monthly basis to functional leaders.
Assist the controlling group in closing the books, providing insight into to the status of projects and spend
Budgeting and Forecasting
Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process, developing presentations to summarize results in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand format
Scenario plan and test assumptions to understand a range of possible outcomes
Continued development of modeling tools
Starting with the 2026 budget cycle integrate a full Molecular Imaging budget plan
Strategic Planning / Business Development
Develop and maintain 5-year business models to support the strategic planning of the company. Translate 5-year business models into valuation models for impairment testing
Partner with management and the CFO to develop and challenge operating plans, setting up insightful measurement systems to assess progress against expectations
Provide decision modeling, reporting and ad-hoc analysis for opportunities that arise
Team Management
Coach and develop team members
Retain and develop talent
Other duties as determined by business needs
Education/Qualifications
BA/BS degree preferably with major in Finance or Accounting, CPA and/or MBA a plus
Professional Experience, Knowledge, & Technical Skills
Finance professional with 10+ years of experience working in progressive roles
Demonstrated knowledge of analysis and reporting of financial data and accounting principles / practices
Business planning and forecasting experience, exposure to Data Warehousing and systematizing data operations a plus
Advanced MS Excel skills with Macros, V lookups, Pivot Tables, VBA, and SQL knowledge a plus
High level interpersonal skills; Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to author and deliver presentations.
Good organizational skills; Multi-task while effectively prioritizing and applying good judgment
Experience working in an FDA-regulated business a plus
Business intelligence, business warehouse, and planning tool software experience (HFM / Hyperion, BW Reporting) a plus

$150,000.00 To $170,000.00 Annually
