About the Role We are hiring a
GIS Project Manager
with expertise in utility GIS systems, especially ESRI technologies, to oversee multi-site implementation and modernization projects. This role requires strategic leadership and deep GIS technical knowledge to ensure success across Avangrid's operating companies.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle GIS project delivery from planning through execution
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to meet milestones
Develop timelines, manage scope, mitigate risks, and report to senior stakeholders
Ensure compliance with utility regulations and GIS data standards
Serve as liaison across IT, engineering, and field operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years managing GIS projects, especially in utilities
Hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS, Utility Network, and system integration
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
PMP certification preferred
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geomatics, or Information Systems
