Base pay range
$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to join our team in an HVAC manufacturing facility. This role will focus on optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest quality standards in HVAC product manufacturing.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 a year
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize productivity in the production line.
- Design and implement production layouts, workflows, and processes for product lines to improve manufacturing output and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement time and motion studies to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality control, and procurement, to ensure that product specifications and customer requirements are met.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues, delays, and quality concerns, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement practices.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to streamline operations and reduce inefficiencies.
- Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring that production targets and deadlines are met.
- Perform capacity planning and determine resource requirements to ensure optimal use of labor, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in manufacturing operations.
- Prepare reports, analyze production data, and recommend strategies for cost savings, quality improvement, and process optimization.
- Assist in new product introductions (NPI) by working closely with the engineering and R&D teams to scale designs for mass production.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience 5+ years in manufacturing or industrial engineering, preferably in HVAC or a similar industry.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in using engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with CAD systems and simulation software.
- Knowledge of HVAC manufacturing equipment, tools, and materials.
