Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) About the Role : Join our team as a Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in developing, enhancing, and supporting our US Sports Platform. You'll collaborate with product partners and technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of our sports betting platform, building on our strong foundation in Europe. Our n-tier distributed systems handle large volumes of data, especially during high-profile sporting events, where resilience and stability are essential to delivering an exceptional customer experience. All systems and services are deployed via containers to the Google Cloud Platform. We focus on improving concurrency and fault tolerance, and services are primarily written in Go. We seek individuals with server-side development experience who are eager to explore and learn new technologies. Key Responsibilities : Develop low latency, highly available, and scalable solutions that process high volumes of transactions. Perform unit and integration testing. Create and maintain concurrent distributed components. Work with Linux and GNU utilities. Support and enhance the existing code base. Identify technical areas for improvement. Contribute to solution proposals as required. Create work effort estimates. Preferred Skills, Qualifications, and Experience : Multiple years of professional software development experience. Experience with Erlang, Haskell, F#, Scala. Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in downtown Denver. Experience with distributed systems. Strong problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong academic background, ideally with a BSc / MSc in an IT-related field or relevant industry experience. Exposure to Google Cloud Platform is beneficial.
