PAY RANGE: $27.56 - $36.00 HOURLY
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Talent Specialist supports the Talent Acquisition team by sourcing candidates, screening vendor temporary talent, assisting with coordinating career events. The role manages job postings, builds talent pipeline, and assists with interview coordination, including welcoming c-suite candidates. Strong attention to detail, adaptability and professionalism are essential. This position requires flexibility to pivot between administrative tasks, sourcing efforts, and vendor coordination. Cross training ensures operational stability in a dynamic environment. A commitment to inclusion, service excellence and accountability is key. This role has growth potential to a Talent Partner within the Talent Acquisition Team.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain robust candidate pipelines through diverse sources, including job boards, employee referrals, industry events, and community-based partnerships.
- Implement proactive talent mining strategies to identify passive candidates and cultivate relationships with prospects. Leverage AI-driven sourcing tools, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and digital networking platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, community forums) to identify and engage high-potential talent.
- Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to understand talent trends and refine sourcing tactics. Establish and manage a targeted prospects list, ensuring a continuous pipeline of candidates aligned with current and future hiring needs.
- Manage job postings across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy and alignment with employer branding standards.
- Partner with staffing vendors to source and screen temporary talent, ensuring a strong match for short-term and project-based hiring needs.
- Function as the primary liaison for temporary hiring process, coordinating temporary hiring decisions, interviews, and onboarding in partnership with the Talent Experience coordinator.
- Ensure a seamless and high-touch candidate experience, from initial contact to post-interview follow-ups. Welcome and host executive-level candidates, ensuring a professional, well-coordinated interview process.
- Provide operational and administrative support to recruiters, hiring managers, and HR leadership, including distributing digital and physical interview packets, ensuring hiring teams have the necessary materials prior to the interview.
- Track key sourcing metrics (e.g., pipeline health, conversion rates, source effectiveness) and provide actionable insights to recruiters and hiring managers.
- Optimize digital and mobile-friendly recruitment processes, streamlining scheduling and candidate interactions through automation tools.
- Support career events by managing candidate flow and pipeline development, ensuring strong engagement and participation.
- Maintain comprehensive candidate records, ATS data, and HR documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal hiring regulations.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:
- Effective oral and written communication skills required to talk to HR staff members, to all other levels of employees in the Credit Union, applicants, and outside contacts on the telephone and in person.
- Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an online computer terminal, personal computer, and other standard office equipment, including photocopier, adding machine, facsimile machine, and telephone.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:
- INTERNAL: All levels of the Credit Union staff and management.
- EXTERNAL: Applicants, applicant's personal references and/or employers, Temp and Community-based organizations as may be needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years in HR Recruitment Function, 2+ years in a related HR function.
- KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
- A people-first approach with a dedication to supporting employees, hiring managers, and vendors. Professionalism, poise, and the ability to engage with executive-level candidates.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Digital mindset and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Tools (including Co-Pilot or AI-related tools), laptops, cell phones, and other workplace technology to manage workflow.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred) and other digital platforms used in HR operations.
- Proficient with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and job board and posting platforms.
- Strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy in sourcing, documentation, and scheduling.
- Ability to analyze situations and find effective solutions and/or escalate concerns with well-thought-out solutions and gain consensus on resolutions.
- Skilled in pivoting in real-time to meet changing business needs and workforce demands.
- Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and urgency. Initiative-taking in meeting, dealing, and filling roles efficiently.
- Current knowledge of recruiting techniques and employment policies and procedures, including all EEO, DCRA, and ADA regulations.
- Ability to maintain and manage confidential information.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Combined sitting and moving throughout the workday responding to telephone calls, assisting candidates or applicants, performing computer-based work, and presenting at New Hire Orientation sessions and conducting other related functions.
- High telephone volume. Corrected hearing in the normal range required. A telephone device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
