Human Resources-Program Lead position available at Grant Wood AEA to start June 2025. This full-time salaried position will work 228 days/year.
Job SummarySupports the Human Resources Director across a broad spectrum of HR functions, with a strong emphasis on onboarding, employee relations, data management, compliance, and communication. The HR Program Lead acts as a key coordinator in the HR department, contributing to both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations. Responsibilities
Assists the HR Director in developing and implementing HR goals, objectives, and staffing plans.
Manages and optimizes digital HR recordkeeping systems (HRIS/HCM) for data accuracy and efficiency.
Maintains electronic personnel files with data integrity and adherence to privacy regulations.
Drives efficient and positive talent acquisition.
Coordinates comprehensive new employee onboarding and assists in orientation planning and procedures.
Researches, analyzes HR data, and assists in preparing reports for informed decision-making.
Prepares and disseminates digital and written HR communications, reports, and compliance information.
Prepares and distributes HR correspondence, reports (including Board agenda items and state/federal filings), collective bargaining information, and confidential materials related to employee matters and negotiations.
Provides support and guidance to staff and supervisors on HR policies, employee relations, and performance evaluation matters.
Assists in ensuring agency compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Manages digital employment contracts and electronic wage notices.
Proactively monitors employment records and HR processes for compliance and accuracy.
Assists with employee separations.
Supports administrators in performance management.
Maintains strict confidentiality of all employee and HR-related information.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public or Business Administration with a focus in HR, or a related field (or equivalent combination of training and work experience in Human Resources)
Three years of experience in a Human Resources role.
Knowledge and understanding of Iowa and federal employment laws.
Fluent in the use of cloud-based platforms (e.g., GSuite)
