The Trauma Research Director promotes quality care through research and education, advancing trauma and acute care innovation. Responsibilities include: Developing processes for financial monitoring and resource utilization. Strategic planning and coordinating trauma patient care. Collaborating with local and regional trauma systems. Monitoring clinical processes and outcomes. Developing quality audits and case reviews. Designing trauma registry for performance improvement and research. Managing verification processes for the Trauma Center. Qualifications include: Current Florida RN license or recognized compact licensure. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment). Trauma Nursing Core Course or TNCC Instructor certification. Minimum of 10 CEUs in Trauma Nursing annually. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and/or Advanced Trauma Course for Nurses (ATCN). Preferred: Trauma Room nursing (CEN) or CCRN certification. At least three years of critical care or trauma nursing experience. Experience in trauma system management is essential.
