Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Data Analyst is part of the MDM Analytics team and contributes to the development of analytics solutions that support key initiatives. The analyst will create solutions that enhance data quality, analytical efficiency, and reporting capabilities. A key focus of this role is designing and developing intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and reports that improve data accessibility and decision-making. The analyst will work to optimize the usability of data visualization tools, ensuring stakeholders can effectively interpret and interact with insights. Additionally, the analyst will support data stewardship, maintain consistency in analytics methodologies, and execute ETL workflows. The analyst works closely with other Data Analysts and department leaders to drive data-driven initiatives.
What you will do in this role includes:
- Support the completion of project requests in the queue for the Clinical Data Analytics Team.
- Create the design of comprehensive analytics solutions for business objectives.
- Deliver accurate & timely datasets to front-end developers.
- Automate reporting processes through ETL and scripting technologies.
- Create comprehensive documentation of conditions, decisions, and I/O specifications.
- Interfacing with subject matter experts to create systematic analytics processes and answer ad hoc requests from clients (both clinical and supply chain).
- Design and develop intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and reports using data visualization tools, ensuring a seamless user experience that enhances data interpretation and decision-making.
- Expectation of basic SQL knowledge to query and manipulate data structures that flow into dashboards and other reports prepared for clients.
- Captures, analyzes, and documents requirements for analytics solutions.
- Creates algorithms and develops workflows that meet test case requirements.
- Provides regular progress updates to the manager.
- Ensures products are developed and tested in accordance with organizational standards.
- Participates in walkthroughs and inspections with team leaders and stakeholders.
- Updates datasets for reports & visualizations as needed.
- Produces documentation of development work.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Technology, or related field strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years’ work experience as a data, business, or financial analyst.
- 1+ years of dashboard creation experience.
- Experience with healthcare data a plus.
- Exposure and familiarity with multiple technology platforms a plus.
