About the Job:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, California Labor Laws, and be capable of driving HR initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.
In This Role, You Will:
- Develop, implement, and interpret company and HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure legal compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Advise company leadership on state and federal compliance with FMLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and other state, federal, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure company and HR policies align with legal and industry standards.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to HR and Senior Business Leaders with respect to employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, and disciplinary actions.
- Navigate employee accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Investigate and resolve complex employee complaints, workplace conflicts, and compliance concerns under the direction of HR Leadership, providing thorough and unbiased reports.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to address employee questions and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
- Provide consistent and accurate reporting utilizing HR metrics and data analysis.
- Participate in special projects or other business/operational initiatives in support of HR Leaders, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, business or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Human Resources-related certifications (ex: PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/ SHRM-SCP, Coaching, Change Management, etc.), preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
- Experience in a large, complex, and high-growth manufacturing/logistics organization is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills and experience interacting with senior management.
- Advanced knowledge of HR concepts, practices and procedures and employment law and regulations.
- Demonstrated achievement as an HR subject matter expert.
- Ability to apply experience and judgment and work independently to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to create, analyze, report, and manipulate data as it relates to HR metrics.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively without sacrificing quality.
- Experience working collaboratively across the HR function.
- Experience with Dayforce HRIS, a plus.
Location:
This is a hybrid role based in Fullerton, CA.
As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.
The base pay range for this position is: $70,000 to $91,000 per Year.
