Location: We work from our home offices, occasionally hold team meetings in the Portland area, and conduct on-site work with our clients. Generally, this experience stems from holding roles such as Senior HR Manager, Regional HR Manager, HR Director, Head of HR, etc. The titles are not as crucial as a well-rounded, working knowledge and recent experience in each area of the employee life cycle, such as: Senior-level HR leadership experience across multiple organizations, including executive representation and team management. Strategic proficiency in all areas of HR infrastructure, such as policy development, execution, delegation, and organizational alignment, with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. Expertise in complex employee relations, including legal partnership on protected leaves, ADA accommodations, investigations, and performance management. Proven success in designing multi-state employment policies, compensation structures, and benefits programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to mentoring, training, and adapting to diverse personalities and team dynamics. Additional Qualifications You will need to pass a criminal background check if offered the position. A valid driver's license or reliable transportation is required as travel to and from clients, events, team meetings, and the office is essential. Current SHRM-CP/SCP Certification (is a plus) Alignment with HR Annie’s mission and support for the vision and values of HR Annie’s leadership. What You’ll Do: As a high-level Consultant, you will serve as a strategic partner to clients, supporting all HR functions, from strategy to getting granular with job descriptions and handbook reviews, so they can focus on their business. Each day brings its own unique projects and tasks; you can expect to pivot, adapt, and help clients overcome challenges on a daily basis. Your Days Could Include Conducting discovery meetings with business owners, HR leaders, and other client stakeholders to understand their HR operations and define strategic initiatives across the employee lifecycle. Presenting and explaining consulting contracts, including Scope of Work Agreements, and providing context during initial client engagements. Working closely with client leadership teams to define organizational HR initiatives and create a project roadmap. Delivering comprehensive HR support, including policy development, talent management, DEI initiatives, compensation analysis, and compliance, while overseeing project teams as needed. Advising clients on complex HR issues using internal and external compliance resources. Delegating (as appropriate) to our HR project support team, channel experts, and other HR Consultants to ensure that client timelines and billable hours goals are met. Coordinating with internal HR Annie teams, including recruitment, training, and pre-employment due diligence channel, to deliver integrated HR services. Contributing to internal team development through training, mentorship, and promoting a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Attending networking events to further the company’s name recognition, develop new business, promote HR Annie clients, and develop HR skills and expertise. Representing the company at events, workshops, and speaking engagements; maintaining accurate administrative records; and staying current on relevant labor laws and professional development opportunities.
