Green Art Plumbing Supply is looking for a CDL Delivery Driver at their Freeport, NY location.

Pay for this position is $27.54 at this location.

About the Role:

You will:

• Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, and other locations as directed by management.
• Load the truck with Hajoca merchandise for delivery and secure the load properly.
• Understand and review shipping documents associated with each delivery.
• Unload merchandise and place it as directed by the receiving party, obtaining signatures as required.
• Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries.
• Inspect the truck and its required parts for safe operating conditions prior to departure.
• Complete the Driver’s Daily Vehicle Inspection Report as required.
• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.

About You:

• Be able to drive a vehicle over 26,001 lbs.
• Be at least 21 years old and possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a hazmat endorsement if required.
• Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver.
• Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination.

• Know the laws and regulations governing commercial motor vehicles.
• Be able to safely operate delivery vehicles.
• Practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
