Within Engineering, the successful candidate will perform Hardware Configuration Management tasks, including identification, change management, status accounting, audit, and verification.
This position qualifies for a Flex Work or Remote work arrangement, allowing up to 50% remote work with final approval from the hiring manager. Arrangements may change based on business needs.
Under supervision and given specific guidance, the successful candidate will execute Hardware Configuration Management activities according to the Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE Systems policies. Responsibilities include managing the change process, ensuring appropriate change board approvals, and:
- Using software applications to document configuration status data and maintain it in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- Supporting the establishment of a Configuration Control Board aligned with project milestones.
- Maintaining status accounting, including preparing and maintaining a Configuration Item Verification Record (CIVR) reflecting current hardware status.
- Communicating effectively with customers, subcontractors, and internal hardware teams.
- Providing hardware metrics as needed.
The HCM will develop proficiency in PLM systems and BAE Systems procedures, staying current with industry standards and technology.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- US citizen eligible for a DoD security clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Two or more years of related experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Familiarity with SAE ANSI/EIA-649B Configuration Management Standards
- Experience working with government contracts
- Basic knowledge of computer applications, databases, operating systems, and hardware
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $63,653 - $108,210
Note: Salaries depend on market conditions, candidate qualifications, skills, education, and experience.
