Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Technology to lead our IT department. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in infrastructure management, including networks, servers, storage, and Microsoft 365 (M365). This role requires a client-focused and collaborative leader with a proven track record in corporate network management, vendor management, regulatory audit environments, team management, desktop support, IT help desk operations, and cybersecurity. The Head of Technology will also be responsible for presenting to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and M365.
- Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Ensure the department meets regulatory and compliance requirements and successfully navigates audit environments.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal service and cost-efficiency.
- Oversee desktop support and IT help desk operations to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Collaborate cross functionally to understand and address technology needs across the organization.
- Present IT strategies, updates, and issues to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the company’s vendor management policy and program.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the company.
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to protect company data and systems.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with external security experts and vendors to enhance the company's security posture.
- Educate and train employees on cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
Required Skills and Characteristics
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Proven experience in vendor management and navigating regulatory audit environments.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on professional development and collaboration.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong decision-making and strategic planning capabilities.
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to information security.
