Working Title: Dean of Early College and High School Partnerships Role Title: 12 month - Admin - Asst Prof Role Code: 01124-SW FLSA: Exempt Pay Band: 00 Position Number: 298FA062 Agency: Laurel Ridge Community College Work Location: Laurel Ridge Community College (Div) Hiring Range: The salary range for the position is $100,397 to $131,464, per year, however, actual starting salary will commensurate with education and/or experience. Job Description: The Dean of Early College and High School Partnerships is a strategic leader responsible for implementing our vision to have more high school students in our service region complete college courses, degrees, and/or credentials while still in high school. The Dean manages and coordinates dual enrollment, a dynamic and growing area of the College, and reports directly to the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. In addition to managing the logistics of dual enrollment, the Dean serves as the point of contact for all public and private secondary schools as well as the home school community; and fosters partnerships that advance the College’s mission. The Dean oversees grant management for Perkins Post-Secondary Grant and directly supervises the dual enrollment advisors, the career coaches present in each of our area public high schools, and an associate dean. Compensation and Benefits: The position is an administrative role and as such is eligible for the benefits package offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia for state agencies and the Virginia Community College System. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. KSA's/Required Qualifications: A master’s degree in education, administration, CTE or a related field. Experience leading academic and/or student success initiatives in a K-12 or college environment. Significant experience in budget development and/or grant management. Supervision experience with demonstrated ability to delegate responsibilities as needed; respond to deadlines; problem solve; and effectively supervise staff. Proficient in leveraging data and technology to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and/or improve student success. Additional Considerations: Demonstrated knowledge of career and technical education (CTE) instructional programs. Significant experience in building positive relationships with college stakeholders, students and families; business, industry, and community leaders; and PK-12 school division teachers and administrators. Community college administrative and teaching experience, preferred. Required Travel: Travel as per any required duties of the position, such as to sites/campuses and any training. Ability to cover assignments throughout the college service region as necessary for the job is required.
