Job Description Job Title: Histology Technician Profession: Technician Specialty: Histology Duration: 30-week assignment Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM Experience: 2-3 years in histology for biopsy specimen and dermatology License: NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License, Certified Histology Technician, or Clinical Lab Technician from NYS ED Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: Associates Degree in Science and completion of an approved Histology accredited program, or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; excellent technical skills; computer literate preferred; good communication skills
Description: This is a 30-week assignment covering an FTE leave of absence. We are seeking a Histology Technician to work Monday through Friday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The successful candidate will have an Associates Degree in Science and completion of an approved Histology accredited program or a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. A valid NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License, Certified Histology Technician, or Clinical Lab Technician from NYS ED is required. The candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in histology for biopsy specimen and dermatology. Excellent technical skills are required. Computer literacy is preferred.
