Manager, Human Resources
performs daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department with support of an HR Specialist and under the guidance, but with minimal supervision from, the Director, Human Resources. This role is primarily responsible for recruitment, performance management, training, and compensation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, have excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for building a high performing workplace culture. Responsibilities Recruitment Leads recruitment including developing/updating job descriptions in collaboration with hiring managers; screens resumes and applicants. Recruit's interns for summer internship program. Develops and implements innovative, cost-effective recruitment strategies to enable the association to attract talent including proactive sourcing and strategic outreach to identify a well-qualified candidate pool. Partners with Marcom team to develop and execute effective marketing strategies to promote the employee value proposition – utilizing various social media channels, company website, etc. Ensures all screening, selecting, and hiring is done in accordance with the employment laws and in a fair and equitable manner. Builds and maintains quality relationships with internal customers and external recruitment agencies. Acts as a single point of contact for hiring managers for all recruitment topics. Trains hiring managers in interview techniques, diversity in the recruitment process, and changes in regulations. Develops metrics and assesses recruiting analytics to track time-to-fill, first year attrition, hiring manager satisfaction, candidate experience, etc. Performance Management & Training Oversee employee mid-year and annual performance evaluations, feedback, and performance improvement plans. Develop and coordinate training programs, leadership development, and career growth opportunities. Support a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Keeps updated all performance content on the ICBA staff intranet. Compensation Manages ICBA’s participation in compensation/benefits surveys. Works with director to identify target salaries for job requisitions to ensure compliance with ICBA’s compensation framework. Negotiates the final salary for the job offer. HR Policies and Procedures Enforces adherence to HR policies and procedures. Works with other HR team members to review and recommend necessary changes or updates to HR policies and procedures. Develop SOPs on job functions to support cross-training. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of HR management experience in a corporate or business environment. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification is a plus. Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices. Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Experience with HR software and reporting tools. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Compensation and Benefits The target annual salary range for this role is currently $85,000 to $100,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package (medical, dental and vision), 401k plan company match contribution, and an annual performance bonus.
