The IT Helpdesk Manager provides vision, leadership, and technical expertise for managing user and infrastructure support. This role is pivotal in planning and implementing enterprise IT support to enhance cost-effectiveness, service quality, and business development. Reporting to the VP of Information Technology, the IT Manager will oversee various aspects of the organization's information technology and systems across all business departments and locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic vision and leadership for IT support to meet business goals by fostering automation, innovation, security, and customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain a robust IT support structure that aligns with business needs, including IT security, audit, SOX compliance, project management, and disaster recovery planning . Operational Management:
Establish and maintain IT support goals, objectives, internal controls, and operating policies and procedures. Identify opportunities for cost-effective investment in IT systems and resources, including staffing, outsourcing, and purchasing. Assess and communicate company risks associated with the IT support organization. Security & Compliance:
Establish and maintain security user groups and associated internal controls. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to IT . Performance Management:
Develop, manage, and track IT support KPIs. Supervise vendor evaluation, selection, and management. Project Management
Lead the implementation of IT systems and ensure successful project delivery. Manage the cost-effective and efficient procurement and distribution of all IT equipment. Team Management
Hire and supervise internal and external IT support staff. Motivate and manage the IT team in a collaborative environment. Establish and oversee vendor relationships related to IT, including new construction, network, and security systems, software implementation projects, phone and data providers, fall detection, nurse call systems, and door access systems. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. An Associate's degree or higher in IT or a related field is preferred. Experience and Skills:
At least 5 years of experience managing and/or directing an IT support operation at a senior level. Experience in planning, execution, and supervision of personnel. Familiarity with CRM software, standard workstation builds, inventory management, and security patching. Proven experience in managing IT support organizations and applying IT solutions to business problems. Strong understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities. Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis to day-to-day management. In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to IT. Excellent understanding of project management principles. Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional service orientation and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiating skills and ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Proven leadership ability to motivate and manage in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. In-person, Monday through Friday schedule. Corporate Office in Scottsdale, AZ. Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
