Information Technology (IT) Network Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Manager
This position is 100% onsite, no remote work.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Manager who will have the overall responsibility for managing and/or developing network infrastructure and cyber security, and supervising IT support staff. This position organizes, directs, controls and oversees the planning, implementation and overall operation of information systems. The IT Manager will lead all technology initiatives and ensure the effective, efficient and secure operation of organizational technology, while fostering innovation in daily functions.
Network Infrastructure responsibilities:
Manage and evaluates the use of the Agency's telecommunications, networks, programming, media and desktops, and other operational support systems.
Review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
Manage, maintain and optimize agency's networks and servers.
Manage and direct network maintenance and system upgrades.
Oversee and direct data backup and system security operations.
Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software.
Assess network systems performance and recommend improvements.
Resolve issues escalated by technicians and network engineers.
Configure and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Ensure data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and company guidelines.
Provide support and guidance to stakeholders via help desk.
Develop IT policies and practices.
Cybersecurity responsibilities:
Monitor agency's networks for security breaches and investigate any violations
Help design, implement, and maintain the organization's cybersecurity plan.
Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization.
Direct the installation and use of security tools (e.g., firewalls, data encryption), to protect sensitive information.
Recommend security enhancements to improve agency's cybersecurity
Develop, implement and periodically update the Agency's disaster recovery plan and computer resources back-up and security systems.
Help computer technicians, end users when they need to install or learn about new security products and/or procedures.
Ensure that IT security audits are conducted periodically or as needed.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, MIS or related field required, Masters Degree preferred; extensive technical and supervisory experience may be substituted for degree. Project Management certification preferred.
Seven years experience managing and/or directing technological and support operations. Ten years experience working in the information technology industry with experience in strategic technology planning, execution and policy development.
Must have seven years verifiable experience as a manager of technical and non-technical teams. Requires extensive experience in all facets of project planning, implementation, and evaluation in a team-centered work environment. Extensive experience in Windows network administration.
