Express Employment Professionals is looking to hire an Industrial Equipment Mechanic for a company located in Round Rock, Texas that rents, sells, and services industrial equipment, including, Air Management - Fans & Blowers, Concrete - Surface Preparation Equipment, Floor & Carpet Care Equipment, Floor & Carpet Installation Tools, Floor Scrubbers, Floor Sweepers, Street Sweepers / Brooms, Vacuums, and other accessories.

Pay Rate: $28.00/HR or more depending on experience.

Location: Round Rock, TX. (78664)

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, and on-call periodically. (Typically, a 40-hour workweek)

Job Summary

As an Industrial Equipment Mechanic, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all of their rental equipment whether it is coming back in from a rental or before going out for a rental. You will also go out to service equipment in the field as needed and will be on-call periodically as the on-call cycles through the other staff. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of small engine systems.

Key Responsibilities

~Inspection and Diagnosis: Perform thorough inspections on equipment to identify mechanical issues.

Use diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint problems and determine necessary repairs.

~Repair and Maintenance: Repair or replace faulty parts, including filters, fuel systems, electrical components, wiring, hydraulic systems, batteries, and engine parts. Perform routine maintenance, such as fluid changes, lubrication, and cleaning of parts as necessary. Adjust and tune equipment to ensure optimal performance.

~Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services performed. Prepare reports on the condition of equipment and recommended actions.

~Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous materials.

~Tools and Equipment Management: Maintain an organized workspace and keep tools and equipment in good working order.

Qualifications

Precious experience working on vehicles as a mechanic and or small engine repair, industrial equipment repair, or a related field is required.

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic/ technician or related role in a related field

Strong understanding of fuel, gas, and hydraulic systems as well as small engines and electrical systems.

Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills

Working Conditions

Typically work in the repair shop, garages, or outdoor settings where their clients may have equipment.

May involve exposure to loud noises, fumes, and hazardous materials.

Standard working hours with the potential for overtime during busy periods and the expectation to be on call.
