This role is eligible for a monthly bonus in addition to baseline hourly pay. Hours of operation:
Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm. Job Summary:
The insurance verification specialist will verify insurance in a timely manner on all damaged autos. Once it is determined that the auto has insurance coverage, the verification specialist will inform the insurance claim specialist. The insurance verification specialist will:
Ensure that insurance verification accounts are worked accordingly. The objective is to mitigate our risk of potential losses by identifying opportunities to open and resolve insurance claims on insured vehicles that are damaged. Ensure that all insurance verification efforts are performed according to the policies, procedures, and defined timelines. Consistently work to maintain a solid and professional relationship with all consumers and insurance companies. Avoid missing insurance claim opportunities where collaterals have insurance coverage. Run daily reports to identify all accounts in need of insurance verification. Duties/Responsibilities:
Verify and document insurance on damaged vehicles. Findings are to be documented conclusively conveying whether the vehicle has coverage. Collaborate with the consumer and the insurance company to acquire all required information to determine coverage. Ongoing verification of insurance will consist of servicing inbound calls and executing outbound calls. Assess customer information and ensure accuracy, collect data and enter accurately into the CRM system. Resolve any discrepancies on information received and update accounts as appropriate. Maintain accurate records of all verifications. Provide professional customer service to consumers regarding coverage. Communicate and collaborate professionally with employees/management. Performs other related duties as required. Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail. Professional phone etiquette. Experience in managing follow ups. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to keep information confidential. Ability to exercise integrity and discretion. Ability to remain professional in tense situations. Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in Spanish/English. Education and Experience:
1 year in similar industry and/or auto insurance experience required. High school diploma or GED required. 25 wpm typing/data entry. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Benefits Overview:
