As a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Denver, CO, you’ll be using your design and analysis skills to plan and design mechanical (HVAC) systems for buildings and facilities, including commercial and institutional projects, as well as provide technical guidance and mentorship to our mechanical group. Our Mechanical Engineers perform a wide range of skills as part of an integrated design firm. Vertical building and infrastructure project types can include aviation, water, educational, industrial, and transportation sectors. Responsibilities: Lead Engineer on medium and large sized projects. Serve as the Engineer of Record on these projects. Provide technical support / leadership to junior staff on other projects. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers. Coordinate with other trades (architectural and engineering) both internally and externally. Technical tasks include: Design and perform calculations for HVAC systems, prepare drawings detailing the system designed, prepare basis of design reports, prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms. Provide input for future projects for resource planning. Coordinate with other mechanical engineering leads across regions and market sectors to optimize resource management and provide opportunities for staff development. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or relevant degree Progressive experience as a Mechanical Engineer (Minimum of 8 years’ experience), as well as in-depth knowledge of current industry practices and trends Professional Engineering Licensure or ability to obtain Strong social, communication, planning, and organizational skills Working knowledge of Revit Ability to travel to other Jacobs offices or project sites If you’re up for the challenge, we’re looking for someone just like you! Posted Salary Range:
