Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Controller, located in the East Valley, is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions at the manufacturing plant. This role plays a critical part in ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making to drive profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cost accounting, inventory, and internal controls within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the plant’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial health and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to corporate leadership to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead cost accounting activities, including standard cost development, cost variance analysis, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counts, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, material usage, and overhead allocations.
• Prepare financial statements complying with GAAP standards.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
• Work closely with plant management, operations, and supply chain teams to drive cost efficiencies and financial discipline.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities within plant operations and recommend action plans.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial planning, and reporting in manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
