We are seeking a Senior Job Captain to join a dynamic and collaborative architectural team. This role requires experience in construction document preparation and the ability to manage projects from schematic design through bidding . The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, experience coordinating with consultants, and the ability to navigate code compliance for public projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and oversee the development of public bid projects from schematic design through bidding.
- Conduct code research to ensure compliance with governing jurisdiction requirements (DSA or equivalent ).
- Coordinate with consultant engineers to integrate technical documents.
- Collaborate directly with clients and stakeholders , incorporating their needs into project documentation.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong organizational and communication skills .
- Experience with educational projects and DSA (or similar regulatory agency) preferred .
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office .
- Experience with AutoCAD (preferred but not required) .
- Ability to interpret and develop construction drawings .
- Works well in a team-oriented environment .
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required.
- 4-5+ years of experience in architectural construction documentation .
- California Architectural License preferred , but not required.
