As a Gensler Designer with our team in
Baltimore , your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. With you as part of the team, our designs have never been so engaging.
What You Will Do
Collaborate on base building, interior design and interior architecture projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and management of budgets and schedules Assist in the design and delivery of functional and beautiful spaces for projects within Practice Areas such as:
Critical Facilities ,
Sciences ,
Commercial Office Buildings ,
Workplace interiors ,
Strategy , and more Coordinate with Interior Designers, Project Architects and Project Managers on delivery of project milestones Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, lighting, and furniture specifications Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, consultants, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program. 0-3 years of professional experience in interior design, architecture, or related fields. Strong skills in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software. Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and SPEXX is a plus. Understanding of the design process, space planning, and material selection. Experience with FF&E specifications, furniture systems, and color/material applications. Strong 3D conceptual thinking and graphic presentation skills for effective communication of design Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and certifications (LEED, WELL, Fitwel, Net Zero, etc.) is preferred. Candidates with portfolio projects demonstrating sustainable design solutions are encouraged to apply.
