Full-time Start Date: Next year opening Department: School-based Support Our Mission The mission of all of KIPP Massachusetts schools is to create an environment where students develop the academic skills, intellectual habits and character traits necessary to maximize their potential in high school, college and the world beyond. What We Do We seek to provide a world-class education for students from educationally underserved communities in Lynn and Boston. KIPP National KIPP Massachusetts partners with the KIPP Foundation, or KIPP National, which is a non-profit national network of college-preparatory public charter schools serving elementary, middle and high school students. Operations Manager at KIPP Academy Boston Charter School The Operations Manager at KIPP Academy Boston Charter School ensures that the school operations effectively serve and support students, families, and school staff. Reporting to the Director of School Operations (DSO), the Operations Manager works closely with the Operations Team to support the budgeting, organization, and logistics of the school community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Projects
Manage year-long and short term strategic projects around the school Engage in, and manage projects from beginning to end with little initial direction When something is wrong, fix it. When something could be better, refine it
School Wide Logistics Management
Manage all testing and assessments K-8; including MCAS Manage transportation for all students Support the DSO in managing the school-wide calendar for events K-8
Budget
Support DSOs in management of the school-wide budget Ensure all certifications and permits are up-to-date annually
Operations Team Support
Support the DSO with all matters on campus Support the DSO in meeting school-wide operations goals
Leadership
Seek and implement feedback from stakeholders Uphold and maintain a positive, nurturing, achievement-oriented school culture
General Requirements and Responsibilities Embody KIPP MA’s Code of Conduct Participate and engage in regional professional development and community events as required Effective communication skills Physical mobility to execute duties effectively Proficient in Google and Microsoft Suite of Applications 2+ years of full-time teaching experience (strongly preferred) Bachelor’s Degree required KIPP MA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
