- Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management across all accounting functions (A/P, A/R, Credit and Collections, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Consignments).
- Oversee the month-end closing process, including analysis and data uploads. Manage balance sheets and profit & loss statements. Analyze actual expenses against budgeted amounts and produce detailed reports for management.
- Manage the year-end audit, working closely with external auditors to ensure a timely and successful audit, preparing necessary schedules, and facilitating the groundwork.
- Collaborate with the Cost Management Accountant to manage the year-end planning/budget process in SAP (FI, Controlling, and Profitability Analysis modules). Participate in the annual budgeting process, including purchasing and asset management.
- Oversee the fixed asset lifecycle, including assigning asset numbers, maintaining comprehensive asset files, reconciling and capitalizing assets upon project completion, planning and following up on investment projects, and managing actual purchases. Set up and maintain ROU leased assets using the SAP Fixed Asset system.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of quarterly tax returns (OH CAT tax, CA sales tax, etc.), handle annual property tax filings, and complete government surveys. Coordinate with external auditors for additional tax compliance needs.
- Manage banking activities, including initiating weekly wire transfers.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Sales, and IT departments, as well as German colleagues, to ensure accurate reporting and efficient operations.
- Oversee the preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Manage document filing in OTRIS.
- Provide oversight and support for AR cash posting.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform other duties as required.

Experience and Education
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in the Accounting Dept. of a Manufacturing company
- 3+ years of Supervising/Managing in a Manufacturing company
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards, knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
- Familiarity with Standard costing is a plus
- SAP Experience (FI, CO, and COPA modules) as well as MS Excel and BW Reporting
