Lecturer - Engineering, Physics and Technology FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Bronx Community College/CUNY invites applications for a Lecturer (CCE) position in the Engineering, Physics and Technology department. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in networking and cybersecurity. The Department seeks an innovative technologist having both a solid theoretical background and technical expertise in various areas of networking, internet and cybersecurity. The department is engaged in the development of innovative associate curricula to educate students in emerging technologies and their application to business, science, the arts and other human endeavors. The position requires a commitment to teaching, sustained service to the department and college, and academic advisement. The candidate hired will be expected to participate actively in College/University-wide initiatives and function collaboratively in department level efforts, playing an active role in the creation, development, and assessment of department curricula. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering/Science/IT. Knowledge in networking, cybersecurity, cybercrime and IT related fields is essential. Experience in teaching and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds with minimum 3 years of college teaching experience. The ability to collaborate with faculty within the department and others for the good of the institution is also required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering/Science/IT. Demonstrated experience with program coordination, course design and assessment. Demonstrated experience with companies in IT industry for students’ internship and job placement. Demonstrated experience in technical LAB management, virtual (VMware) and on-line training resources. Knowledge of Hyperflex/Hyperconverged systems, their configuration, set-up and management. COMPENSATION $52,072 - $83,704 salary commensurate with education and experience.
