Data Scientist, candidates required to be onsite in Tallahassee, FL. Telecommuting is currently NOT an option for this position, candidates are required to be in the office Monday – Friday. Travel and relocation expenses will not be covered by the client or employer. Applicants responding to this position must be a US Citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information. Must have lived in the US for the past 5 years. The Employer will not sponsor applicants for any employment visas, at hiring or in the future, including but not limited to H-1B visas. Corp-to-Corp or subcontract personnel will not be considered for this position. Responsibilities: Scope analytic processes, including creating and documenting associated infrastructure and workflow. Prescriptive analytics. Analyze data, develop algorithms, and work with developers and users to enhance operational systems. Document data requirements to support analytics needs. Identify and document sources of internal and external data. Algorithm development and Machine Learning Delivery. Determine data access methods (APIs, tool-kits, ETL and alike). Determine resources such as profiling of source download data formats (RDMS SQL dump, ftp, XML/JSON, etc.), and what data is needed to complete analytics and to be processed in data lake/data staging. Recommend data architecture and schematics, ETL process/Tool, data governance, and potential integration with internal and external data, and analytic framework. Qualifications: 8-10 years’ experience as a Data Scientist. 3-5 years’ experience with Tableau or equivalent visualization tool. Machine Learning Delivery experience. Experience with R, SAS, AlterYX, or equivalent analytics framework. SAS experience is preferred. Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data. Strong written, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Superior communications and presentation skills. Education: Preferred Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent in related work experience.
