There are some companies that are in the same space as some of our top accounts with whom we do not have the same level of relationship. This presents a tremendous opportunity for growth for UL Solutions as with those companies and in those markets, we have the permission to play, the right to win, and the capabilities to serve. This new position of Manager, Strategic Growth Initiatives will focus on such selected accounts and functions to further develop the UL Solutions business from an enterprise level covering all the Segments and also engage in new service development opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Vice President of G&SA and ABM, this role will focus on building and executing the industry sector and account-level strategies. For this new group of growth accounts, the SAMA account management process and the existing tool sets like Valkre will be leveraged. Lead the development and execution of sector and account development strategies for focused growth accounts that are similar to the existing large relationships but are yet to reach the full potential and engagement of UL Solutions. Recommend approaches for account-based marketing programs to engage key accounts leveraging cutting-edge marketing tactics. Proactively build the pipeline of initiatives and programs aligned with customer goals, UL Solutions strategic priorities and capabilities, and mutual objectives in accordance with the account management process followed at UL Solutions. Collaborate with the Segments, COUs, and functions in developing business. Conduct deep customer insights to ensure hyper-personalization and effective positioning of critical product offerings within each account. Closely collaborate with product marketing teams to ensure connectivity with business sales teams and product management. Develop content to support account teams. Identify broader trends in customer needs and opportunities across the global footprint of customers and reflect them up to Account management leadership. Build high touch relationships, earn trusted advisor status and loyalty from senior-level customer leadership. Identify centers of influence within multi-national customer organizations and give feedback to UL's executive leadership. Build UL's relationship with Global customer buying centers, with the support of an extensive and highly dedicated account team. Maintain industry ties/connections to understand market trends and anticipate tailwinds and headwinds across all markets served globally. Build on customer relationships to ensure successful renewals and identify future sales opportunities. Identify opportunities and lead sales of integrated solutions to assigned Global tier customer accounts. Work with the rest of the Global account managers on account growth opportunities (cross-sell and up-sell). Coordinate and support team member sales on deals with require specific expertise and/or geographic coverage). Use sales plays to drive sales for relevant regions, subsidiaries, and/or branches of Global account. Make connections with relevant salespeople, utilizing their unique specializations and knowledge to close sales. Participate in quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with sales management to update account plans and improve sales execution. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field. 6+ years of related sales experience and/or demonstrated account management capability. Established sales leader with a proven background in sales of testing/inspection/certification services, software products, and advisory offerings. Proven ability to manage and sell into large, diverse accounts, in close coordination with the account teams. Excellent communication skills with experience working across multiple levels and functions. Ability to clearly communicate information and deliver presentations. Strong analytic, organizational and project management skills with a strong attention to detail. Fluent in English Total Rewards:
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
