Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Manual Machinist to join our growing team. This is a hands-on position for an experienced professional capable of operating a wide variety of manual machine tools in a precision machining environment. Please note this is not a CNC machining role.
Position: Manual Machinist & Entry level Manual Machinist
Location: Cumming, Ga
Pay: $25-30 Hourly + Benefits & Overtime Pay
Hours: Mandatory overtime
Mon – Thurs 6am – 4:30pm
Friday 6am – 2:30pm
Saturday 6- 8-hour shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate all sizes of engine lathes , mill machines , and large horizontal and vertical mills
- Read and accurately interpret engineered drawings and blueprints
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers to tolerances of .0001"
- Hold overall part tolerances within .001"
- Maintain a zero-incident safety record and adhere to all safety protocols
- Work overtime as required to meet customer deadlines
- Occasionally travel for short-term field assignments as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven manual machining experience in a job shop or industrial repair setting
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and manufacturing instructions
- Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments to extremely tight tolerances
- Strong knowledge of lathe and mill operation, including horizontal and vertical mills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Clean safety record with verifiable, up-to-date references
- Willingness to work overtime and travel on occasion
