- Full Job Description:*We are excited to invite a motivated physician to join our team and lead the medical operations at Perspectives II, an outpatient substance abuse treatment center. Specializing in addiction medicine, we offer a range of services, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), intensive outpatient therapy, outpatient therapy, and individual counseling for drug and alcohol recovery.In this role, you will manage our MAT program while collaborating closely with our Clinical Director and therapy team to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient. You will be responsible for prescribing MAT medications and administering injections within the clinic setting. In addition, while patients are transitioning from inpatient rehab to the outpatient setting, they may need bridging prescriptions of psychiatric medications while we establish their care with mental health in the community. The applicant would also be responsible for ordering laboratory tests and reviewing results for all of our patients as well.The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in addiction medicine and be familiar with MAT medications, such as sublingual buprenorphine products, Sublocade, Brixadi, oral naltrexone, and Vivitrol. Training will be provided for those who may not have experience with injections.We offer flexibility to fit your schedule, with current hours ranging from 15 to 25 hours per week. There is also potential for expansion in hours or opportunities to supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as our patient population grows. Our two clinic locations in Lady Lake and Ocala require coverage, therefore the ability to work at both sites is essential.If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of those battling addiction, we would love to hear from you!Requirements:
* Graduation from accredited college or university with MD or DO degree
* Board Certified in your specialty
* Minimum 1yr experience in substance abuse treatment
* Licensed to practice medicine in FL (or willing to obtain FL license if relocating)
* Licensed to prescribe controlled substances (DEA)
15-25h/wk (flexible); ~6h shifts, 3 days per week currently. Lady Lake and Ocala offices.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $125.00 - $150.00 per hour
