Responsible for diagnosing and treating eye diseases and disorders. They perform eye exams, prescribe medications, and perform surgeries when necessary. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive eye care to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams to diagnose eye diseases and disorders
- Prescribe medications to treat eye conditions
- Perform surgeries when necessary, such as cataract surgery or LASIK
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive eye care to patients
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ophthalmology
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Completion of an ophthalmology residency program
- Board certification in ophthalmology
- Valid medical license in the state of Texas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
