Investment Data Strategy & Governance Team
Full-Time
Locations: Boston, MA; New York, NY; Springfield, MA
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Data Product Analyst responsible for creating and maintaining end-to-end business lineage of our critical data and contributing to business data modeling. The role involves working with data stewards to drive catalog completeness and review, tracking key metrics for data governance, and reporting. The candidate should have a good understanding of investment data requirements, be comfortable with SQL and Python, and understand ETL tools such as Informatica. Experience with various investment types (public, private, structured) is a plus.
The Team
You will be a key member of the Investment Data Strategy and Governance team within Investment Management, partnering across various departments and external entities to ensure effective data sourcing, aggregation, distribution, and governance.
The Impact
The Investment Data Analyst will impact data governance, strategy, communication, and metrics tracking within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, Data Science, or related
- 5+ years as an Investment Data Product Analyst or similar role
- 3+ years in financial services or related industry
- 3+ years understanding investment data needs across various instruments
- 3+ years proficiency in SQL and data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R)
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Alation, Data360
- Certifications in Data Modelling, Data Governance, or Data Science
- Experience with Eagle STAR, Eagle Pace, Eagle DataMart
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and data governance principles
- Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of data modeling, data quality tools, data lineage, and metadata management
