Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented
mid-level
MQ Administrator
to join our team in
Ashburn, VA
to begin an exciting and challenging career.
Job Responsibilities:
IBM MQ queue manager administration, trouble shooting, configuration and on call support as needed.
Installation, configuration, and administration of IBM MQ queue managers on distributed platform.
You will provide on call support as needed to diagnose and rectify issue related to queue managers.
You will also be responsible for clearly document requirements, design, and operation procedures for queue managers.
Need experience with ActiveMQ Classic/Artemis with administration, trouble shooting, configuration etc.(A Plus)
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
BS Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc) with 5+ years of technical experience
Strong foundation of MQ knowledge.
Must have expert knowledge of IBM MQ on distributed platforms.
Must have skills in diagnosing issues related to IBM MQ queue managers.
Strong background with Apache ActiveMQ.
Must have good knowledge of UNIX operating system and scripting languages (bash/korn shell, expect).
Knowledge of Java and JMS and REST interface is preferred.
Customer Requirements:
Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen
Location – 2-3 days onsite in Ashburn, VA. All candidates must be within the GWA/commutable area. This team also has an on-call rotation which includes carrying the duty phone.
