ABOUT THIS JOB:
The
IT Quality Assurance Intern
will value the software development process, prioritize user experience, and take pride in identifying inconsistencies, bugs, and errors to ensure a top-notch user experience, consistency, and usability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and provide feedback on product functionality and usability. Help ensure the quality and functionality of software products across both web and mobile platforms by identifying bugs, inconsistencies, and issues. Develop test plans, strategies, and test cases aligned with project requirements and timelines. Work with the IT Project Manager to learn how to prioritize testing tasks based on project phases and release schedules. Report and track defects, and document test results and issues as part of the learning process. Review the developers' code to ensure it aligns with design specifications and UX/UI standards. Verify that the final product meets ADA design standards and ensures consistency in layout, functionality, and user experience. Collaborate with the development team to learn how to resolve discrepancies between design and implementation. Taking ownership and pride in these tasks will allow you to thrive in this position for the benefit of both your team, Namify and our clients, and most importantly yourself. Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, and UX testing principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to document and communicate test results effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with ADA compliance standards, or strong willingness to learn. Familiarity with design tools like Figma is a plus, but not required. THIS POSITION REPORTS TO:

This job operates in a warehouse environment which requires standing, moving, lifting, and operating machinery and computers. Personal Protection Equipment may be required. Safety training is mandatory and employees must be able to pass basic safety requirements.
TRAINING:
Training for this position will be completed by the department manager. Training will consist of education on key processes, preparation and staging requirements by customer, location of tools, supplies and materials. You will be trained on how to use the order interface, how to properly read orders and where to look for notes. Additional training will be completed as processes evolve or as required.
SAFETY:
Namify enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe working environment. Each incumbent is responsible for completing all training requirements and fulfilling self-aid/buddy-aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks as requested, and serving on safety committees and teams as requested.
