University of Pittsburgh Physicians is looking for multiple Vascular Neurology Specialists to join our team. This role involves diagnosing and treating a range of acute and chronic neurological conditions such as epilepsy, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, persistent headaches, seizure disorders, stroke, and other neurological symptoms and disorders.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting weekly outpatient clinic duties for general and epilepsy patients.
Performing physical exams and ordering diagnostic tests while interpreting the results.
Implementing appropriate interventions, therapies, medications, and treatment modalities.
Establishing preventative health practices tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintaining comprehensive records of patient histories, physical examinations, diagnostic test results, assessments, management plans, and treatment outcomes.
Clinical duties will involve providing inpatient stroke consultations and working in the outpatient stroke clinic at the following locations:
UPMC Presbyterian, 200 Lothrop Street, Pittsburgh PA 15213
UPMC Mercy, 1400 Locust Street, Pittsburgh PA 15219
UPMC Shadyside, 5230 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15232
This position requires travel to various worksites within a 10-mile radius. Candidates must have a Medical Degree or its equivalent, completed a residency in Neurology and a fellowship in Vascular Neurology, and be board certified or eligible for board certification in both Neurology and Vascular Neurology. A valid, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license is also required.
