Local Team Collaboration: We are seeking a
day hospitalist
and a
nocturnist
to join our close-knit team of four physicians and two advanced practice providers (APPs) at Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital. Work alongside diverse clinicians from the Tri-state Area, including NYC, NJ, and the Hudson Valley. Our team collaborates closely and is encouraged to participate in medical committees, contributing to shared decision-making and professional development. Qualifications: Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine. New graduates, residents, and fellows are welcome to apply. Practice in the Heart of the Community
Flexible Scheduling: The full-time day physician position has a week-on, week-off schedule, and the part-time day physician position has a more flexible schedule. For the nocturnist position, we offer flexible scheduling options and the option of week on, week off. We offer flexible scheduling options, including bi-monthly team gatherings that promote a supportive work environment and allow for a balanced approach to personal and outdoor pursuits. Our team values flexibility, ensuring you can enjoy time outside of work while maintaining professional commitments. Key Responsibilities: The care for medical and surgical patients in a Level 3 trauma community hospital with a 15-bed census, 5-bed ICU, and 22 inpatient psychiatry beds. Serve a diverse patient population in a low-volume ED with high acuity, providing essential specialty services such as cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, general surgery, urology, infectious disease, and podiatry. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a hospital that functions as a primary receiving stroke center, holds a geriatric-accredited emergency department, and serves as a department of correction receiving facility. Collaborate with team members and utilize the hospital’s outpatient clinic for coordinated care. Living and Working in Mount Vernon: Mount Vernon is a great place to live for several reasons. The lower range applies to day shifts, while the higher range is for night shifts. Benefits:
