PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting to the Director of Competitions, the College Recruiting Coordinator will coordinate communication with and recruitment of college coaches to attend the NorCal Showcase events. Additionally, the position will support the development and growth of NorCals showcase events, provide expertise on the current state of college soccer to NorCal staff, and be a resource for college recruiting information for NorCal clubs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

College Showcase

• Identify, recruit, and confirm college coaches to attend NorCal Showcase events.
• Maintain and develop relationships with college coaches to understand their recruiting needs and ensure events align with their objectives.
• Seek systematic feedback from college coaches regarding NorCal Showcase events, clubs, and players.
• Support on-site operations during showcase events to ensure smooth execution and address college coach needs.
• Assist in the management and promotion of NorCal College ID Camp, specifically with securing college coaches to coach at the camp, as well as assisting with the design and execution of the camp.

Event Development

• Collaborate with NorCal Staff to design and refine showcase events tailored to college recruitment.
• Provide input on event structure, scheduling, and logistics to enhance the experience for coaches and participants.

Advising on College Soccer Trends

• Monitor and analyze trends in college soccer recruiting, including NCAA rules and changes.
• Provide regular updates and insights to NorCal staff to guide showcase planning and strategic decisions.
• Advise clubs and participants on best practices for engaging with college recruiters.
