The Cashier assists and checks-out customers with store purchases; receives, sorts, prices, and prepares donated items for placement in the store. From its early beginnings of seeking donations to process and offer for sale, to the current operation of five stores in Adrian, Monroe, Dundee, Lambertville and Saline, Goodwill Industries continues to assist persons with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Job Summary: Assists and checks-out customers. Sorts, prices, and prepares donated items for placement in the store.

• Assists customers.
• Greets and assists donors with unloading donations.
• Accomplishes assigned cleaning routine.
• Provides courteous, accurate, and timely customer service as trained.
• Uses cash register to check-out customers.
• Keeps shelves stocked with merchandise and maintains displays.
• Inspects donated items for overall quality.
• Places items in appropriate locations for pricing and distribution.
• Separates seasonal items and places them accordingly.
• Prepares clothing racks and household items for the store.
• Uses pricing machine and tagging gun to price items.
• Meets or exceeds goals and standards of production and quality.
• Assists in the training of workers and consumers.

• Ensure documentation and compliance with CARF standards.
• Maintain applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Have S.M.A.R.T objectives to drive performance.
• Provide exemplary customer services to stakeholders.
• Utilize resources of the organization efficiently.
• Commit to innovation and continuous learning.
• Demonstrate genuine interest in serving the needs of others.
• Maintain accuracy of cash drawer and paperwork.
• Carries out additional duties assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in sales preferred.

Salary: $14.00 - $14.01 per hour
