Come join the Weigand-Omega Team for this exciting opportunity. We are looking to add a Compliance officer in our Wichita, Kansas office. To assist the Director of Compliance in the coordination, general administration, monitoring of the Section 42 compliance work for apartment properties involved in the LIHTC Program Section 42 of the IRS code and/or HUD compliance.
Knowledge, Abilities and Other Qualities The ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a variety of practical situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may occasionally call for minor deviations Experience working with MS Excel spreadsheets and Word documents The ability to think rationally beyond a specific set of instructions The capability to work at a fast pace and with multiple tasks, perform duties while under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner, interact/communicate with other site employees, residents, visitors, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner Legible penmanship and accurate typing skills The ability to correctly deal with lease documents, fill out paperwork, and keep accurate records The ability to work with figures The ability to compute rental amounts, prorates, discounts, percentages, and basic math computations The capability to operate fax/copy machine, telephone, calculator, and computer Must have good communication skills and the ability to successfully interact with all types of people and have a professional phone manner. Experience Training and Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior Section 42 experience, Procorem and other State Agency software program experience preferred.
