Overview
The Oakbridge Senior Benefit Analyst is an internal position which supports the client management team. The Senior Benefit Analyst is responsible for executing the marketing strategy set by the client service team, overseeing financial reporting and special projects, as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting - for assigned clients
- Develop custom financial reporting packages, as requested by account management team.
- Produce financial reporting packages accurately, based on established timelines.
- Obtain data from carriers.
- Prepare/Map data based on account structure.
- Update reporting package.
- Deliver client ready reporting package, along with commentary, to account management team.
- Monitor stop loss plan performance and report inconsistencies and/or trends to account management team.
- Oversee SIR implementations and annual updates. Serve as onsite SIR expert providing guidance and support to other team members.
- Renewal and Marketing (R&M)
- Retain an excellent understanding of Employee Benefit products available in the marketplace.
- Develop Global R&M Calendar for a2 Benefit clients.
- Partner with Account Management team to set R&M strategy - for assigned clients.
- Execute marketing strategy for assigned clients, to include RFP development & data collection, facilitating RFP marketing process, managing marketing timeline, evaluation of proposals & completion of benefit/financial analysis.
- Providing pertinent R&M updates in summary format, along with commentary to account management team.
- Special Projects - As Assigned
- Develop and manage timeline
- Develop and update client communications to be used by Client Management team
- Collect and/or calculate PCORI calculation.
- Deliver, client ready, information to Account Management team.
- Team Support
- Peer Review team members work, as requested
- Conduct data integrity audits, as requested.
- Mentor junior team members regarding RM&A process and financial reporting.
Knowledge and skills that will help you be successful in this role:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Self-starter with ability to manage priorities and make independent decisions with minimal oversight.
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
Desired Education, Experience (open to consider experience in lieu of degree) and Requirements:
- College degree (preferred but not required)
- Minimum of 5+ years of health and welfare experience with self-funded medical and stop-loss experience
- Professional Certification (CEBS, PHR, SPHR, etc.) preferred
- State Life and Health Insurance License
