Ojo Caliente Spa Resort is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to provide overall support to the operations of the housekeeping department. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and direction for housekeeping and laundry activities for the resort, ensuring high standards of cleanliness for both the guest rooms, casitas and public areas.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, repairs and orderliness. May also clean rooms and public areas based on occupancy and staffing.
- Train, motivate, and coach staff members with a friendly and nurturing style.
- Maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program.
- Submit work orders to maintenance department.
- Ensure that operational and safety procedures are followed.
- Prepare the weekly staff schedule.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and linen inventories.
- Update room status’ in the computer.
- Ensure housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner.

Requirements
- At least one year of hotel or resort housekeeping supervisory experience.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish and English). Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language. Ability to organize and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
- Computer literate.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe use.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and moving throughout the resort’s 20 developed acres.
- Experience driving a golf cart or similar vehicle.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Must be able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions.
- Must be flexible in hours and days worked; weekend work is mandatory.
