The Maintenance Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and guiding the hourly workforce, collaborating closely with supervisors to ensure optimal plant operations. This position is responsible for managing the maintenance of equipment to guarantee satisfactory operational conditions, while effectively controlling plant costs through strategic planning and management. By partnering with Corporate Engineering, the manager will help develop and execute production activities aligned with our operational plans. Additionally, you will ensure the training and implementation of quality, health, safety, and environmental programs. Supporting the Plant Manager, you will also assist with developing and executing both capital and annual budget plans, and carry out necessary administrative duties such as planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Guide, organize, and direct the hourly workforce to ensure efficiency and productivity. Ensure stationary and mobile equipment is operational and available as planned. Engage in long-term planning, including projects, process development, budgeting, and predictive/preventive maintenance activities. Implement and maintain health, safety, quality, and environmental programs, including audit and development activities. Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to meet sales demands. Perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree or relevant mining experience. Licensed Electrician or Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel. Experience with Maintenance Programs such as JD Edwards or SAP. A background in engineering within a manufacturing environment or as Operations Supervisor in mining is preferred. Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work well with varied personalities for continuous improvement. Willingness to work in both indoor (70%) and outdoor (30%) environments, with physical ability to navigate the plant, including climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, and walking. Exposure to routine industrial health and safety hazards is expected, and appropriate safety equipment (respirator, eye protection, safety shoes, hard hat) will be provided. Availability for callouts and communications after hours, including weekends and holidays. Must possess a valid driver's license.
