SUMMARY
This position is responsible for direct supervision of fabrication employees. This position will plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures, recommend improvements in the fabrication departments, operating procedures and working conditions. This position will be responsible for holding employees accountable for company and individual goals.
HOURS: Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:00am. Mandated overtime worked on Friday based on business need.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Directly responsible for fabrication employees on assigned shifts including safety, efficiency, accountability and quality Coordinate operations with dispatch teams, trucking companies and all other logistics groups Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and shipment and packaging sequences to meet shipment goals Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the shipping and/or packaging process and adjusting where needed to ensure UA maintains OTD of 95% or higher Ensures effective communication amongst direct reports and peers Assess and resolve of conflict situations in conjunction with Human Resources Document disciplinary contacts and follow UA’s progressive disciplinary policy for all direct reports Approve/Deny vacation requests of direct reports based on company policy Ensure that proper coverage is always available Able to flex shifts and change work schedule when required or as requested Maintain positive relationships with all executive staff, managers, supervisors and employees Ensures compliance and adherence to all company policy and procedures Follow safe manufacturing practices and promotes a safety culture Conducts 30/60/90-day and annual performance reviews as applicable Leads by example and acts in a professional manner at all times Suggest ideas for continual improvements and/or cost savings Other duties as assigned or requested WHAT YOU'LL BRING
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required – Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree Preferred 4-5 years of related shipping/logistics leadership experience Able to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, basic hand tools and air tools Must have forklift and material handling experience Ability to effectively communicate through written and oral communication Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds 12 Expected Behaviors of Actively Engaged Person

This will be an onsite position in Union, OH Occasional travel may be required, approximately 10% If selected for the role, a background check will be conducted
