FOREST This opportunity is targeted at experienced workers (ages 55+) supporting the U.S. Forest Service through the ACES Program. The position involves providing technical, scientific, and administrative support related to prescribed fire and fuels management. Qualifications
Minimum of 20 years of experience or HS/GED degree Experience with MS Word and MS PowerPoint Responsibilities
Coordinate with fuels academy and related personnel on federal land management activities (40%) Deliver content on fire ecology, vegetation management, prescribed fire, hazardous fuels, and land management (30%) Design and deliver training on vegetation management activities, including prescribed fire and fuels (20%) Provide institutional knowledge and guidance to program managers (10%) Additional Information
Travel requirements include at least one trip of several days, including overnight and air travel. No physical requirements; activities are office-based. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
