KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Leadership & Design Management:
Lead a team of designers and associate engineers in the development of land development construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Oversee and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality control. Establish project design criteria while ensuring compliance with local and state regulations. Manage entitlement approvals and the process for obtaining grading and encroachment permits. Diverse Project Portfolio:
Manage a variety of land development projects, including: High-density residential developments Shopping centers and retail spaces Auto dealerships and commercial buildings Gas stations and QSR (Quick-Service Restaurant) developments Amusement parks and entertainment venues Team & Client Management:
Foster collaboration and mentorship, ensuring team members meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work. Work directly with clients and stakeholders to define project parameters, address concerns, and deliver successful results. Serve as the primary point of contact for agency approvals, permitting processes, and regulatory coordination. Business Development & Financial Planning:
Collaborate with firm principals to create accurate and competitive project proposals. Support business development efforts by cultivating strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities. Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and compliance. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. EIT certification preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus. Experience & Technical Skills:
6+ years of experience in land development and civil engineering. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for land development design. Proven expertise in project management, entitlement approvals, and permitting processes. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal land development regulations. Soft Skills & Work Ethic:
Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide teams and interact with clients. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to overcome project challenges.
