Overview
Provides general ticket booth services, rings up and accepts parking fees, sells season passes, greets park visitors, provides directions, checks in buses, and answers questions about the park, state park rules and regulations, and the local area. OFFICE SUPERVISOR:
Provides general office and operation support services at the ticket booth, resolves complaints, trains and supervises Ticket Booth Attendants, rings up and accepts parking fees, and acts as primary visitor contact. INTERPRETIVE GUIDE:
Acts as primary visitor contact, conducts interpretive programs, assists with program development, and cares for animals. MAINTAINER:
Performs maintenance tasks related to DEEP managed lands and facilities, including litter pickup, cleaning, and mowing. CREW LEADER:
Supervises and works with an assigned crew of Seasonal Maintainers, assists in job planning, and operates machinery. PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:
Assists in the maintenance of recreational facilities, trains and supervises Seasonal Maintainers, and performs skilled work in various trades. PARK RANGER:
Acts as primary visitor contact, assists with operational and maintenance duties, and ensures the safe enjoyment of the park. PARK RANGER SUPERVISOR:
Assists in managing seasonal operations, resolves complaints, and trains Seasonal Park Rangers. KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY Ability to follow instructions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS TICKET BOOTH ATTENDANT:
Experience in retail and/or customer service. OFFICE SUPERVISOR:
Extensive experience in outdoor recreation management. INTERPRETIVE GUIDE:
Experience or education in the natural sciences. MAINTAINER:
Experience in custodial work, landscaping, or a related skilled trade. CREW LEADER:
Experience in custodial work, landscaping, or a related skilled trade. PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR:
Experience with maintenance of a recreational facility or related skilled trade. PARK RANGER:
Experience with outdoor recreation facility operations. PARK RANGER SUPERVISOR:
Extensive experience in outdoor recreation management. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Incumbents assigned as supervisors will perform emergency first aid as needed, and may be required to obtain a Basic First Aid Certificate, possess a valid Motor Vehicle Operator license, or hold certifications relevant to specific duties. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Incumbents must maintain adequate physical strength and stamina to perform the duties of the class.
