Overview
Education: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, or a related degree. Experience: Must have two years of Interior Design experience. Prefer experience in a large, complex healthcare organization.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience: May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.
Certification/Registration/Licensure: Prefer State of Texas Interior Design license. Skills or Special Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate interior design knowledge and ability to perform space planning, preliminary layouts and detailed drawings. Must have a basic knowledge of healthcare systems furniture, Must have basic knowledge of building codes as they apply to interior design and construction. Must be able to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-up, Photoshop and Microsoft office. Must be able to demonstrate effective organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Must be detail oriented and willing to learn procurement, project management and space management software. Must be professional, self-motivated and able to communicate issues in a clear and timely manner. Must have a portfolio to demonstrate recent school and/or professional work.
