Duties: Prepare and prosecute patent applications in electrical, computer, software, and mechanical technologies. Conduct patentability assessments and freedom-to-operate analyses. Draft claims and specifications for patent applications, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with patent law. Work closely with clients to understand their innovations and provide strategic guidance. Manage patent portfolios, monitor filing deadlines, and maintain relationships with the USPTO. Stay updated on changes in patent law and best practices, ensuring high-quality service and risk mitigation. Requirements: At least 6 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, specifically in electrical, computer, software, or mechanical technologies. Registered with the USPTO as a Patent Agent. Strong academic background with a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage complex projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy. Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field. Certifications: USPTO registration as a Patent Agent. Skills: Expertise in patent preparation and prosecution. In-depth understanding of patent law and intellectual property protection strategies. Proficient in drafting patent applications and claims. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage a patent portfolio and meet critical deadlines.
